My new left hand. This was my father’s tool, and possibly his father’s first. It has seen more use in the shop these last months than I could ever have imagined. I just love these things. I’m tempted to buy a smaller version and
I wrapped up the bass I’ve been working on and shipped it out this morning. Always bittersweet to let them go. I was meticulous with my measuring when making and fitting the new neck as I was determined to leave the bridge right where it is.
A bass that I built a little over ten years ago is in the shop for a new neck, as the truss rod nut snapped off. As much as that feels like a real bummer, it’s such a joy to have this in my hands again. I’d say that this is one of my fa
